And my Great Uncle George Thomas Thurstans, 1st Battalion, Essex Regiment, 35765 died of wounds in France 31 Oct 1918, laid to rest Etaples Military Cemetery. Although we never met......he is the ancestor who set me on this wonderful journey to discover my roots...may he and all his comrades rest in peace, we will never forget............
