Not free of charge at all. All that is on the familysearch pilot site, at present, is an index to the 1841 and 1861 censuses. Once you find the person you are looking for in that index and click on their name to bring up further details, which are very sparse, you will see on that page in the top right corner a link for the image which tells you that the image is available through findmypast and you can click on that image to be taken to the findmypast site, so not free at all. Findmypast is one of the sites licensed by the National Archives to have images of the English & Welsh censuses on their sites and those licensed sites are all pay sites.
