Unfortunately to find the parents you need to get the cert. however if you have a birth after the second half of 1912, I think it is, the mother's maiden name will be listed on the Index as well. But only the surnames of mum and dad.     3. Or you just go to next census and if still child alive see whom she is living with etc.as with a bit of luck she and her parents may be in same district. Don't forget to note all the villages of the district while you are in FreeBMD so relate to birthplaces noted in census.     3. Hi Shelley Getting the certificate is the only accurate way to find the info you want. Paying for certificates is just one of the expenses of doing family research. You may have found the wrong person in that registration if you just go by the registration numbers, as most experienced researchers know only too well.
