I would like to say thank you to everyone on the list that offered and gave there help at finding out about my grandfather Donald John Eggleton who had changed his last name to Clampin. A special thanks to Holly and Dianne who found so many thing for me and sent them to me. I can't thank them enough. I have been on cloud nine the last couple of day. I have sent them both private thank you messages as well. They found the year he and my grandmother Mary Rachel Henson married, they found information on his sister's and on brother, and a letter to the Ministry Of Pensions at the War office stating that Donlad John Eggleton had recently taken step to change his last name and that his present name ( Donald John Clampin ) had been added to the pension documents affected. We had been told he didn't change his last name till after my grandmother had died, and that he then took his new wife's last name of Clampin, but the date on the Ministry Of Pensions is May 30 1945. The thing I can't figure out though is why the first part of the letter says " With reference to War Office letter NO. 27/ASC/2848 (Mob 5 ) dated 29th July, 1920. How great is all this after so many years of searching. Thank you all again Shelley
