Hello Mary According to Andrew Barham's book "Lost Parish Churches of Essex" the church of St Mary was declared redundant in 1973. "This early 12th century church was converted into a house by the end of the decade. It includes a squat Tudor brick tower and some nice old doors and windows, mainly from the 14th century.
