Hi All, Hoping someone may be able to offer advice regarding court records etc. Thomas Lloyd was convicted at Essex Assizes for a term of life and transported to NSW on the Asia, 22 Oct 1824. I would like further details on his trial etc. >From what I understand on the National archives site, if I were to check the Home Office: Criminal Registers, England and Wales index I could determine the date of his trial and from that I could then refer to the Assize records for more information? Is that right? I live in Sydney so can't personally visit National Archives, can anyone advise as to who does the above type of research. Many thanks, Felicity Sydney
