    3. Hi Eve Having just read "Five Miles from Bunkum", I can recommend it as a good read with lots of background information. Looking in the index I can only see one mention of an ADAMS (George) who was licensee of the "Rose & Crown" pub and honorary treasurer of the village "Slate Club" in around the early part of the last century(the era that the book focuses on). I could copy the relevant details and email them to you, if you are interested. There are 5 copies of the book available on eBay at present - I have seen it for sale there fairly regularly.
