Some of the old photos are interesting, but I'm not impressed with the quality of the recent church photographs on the site, no fault of the site owner, I realise that clarity of photographic detail is a problem for most websites. Well done for your website, your pics are reasonably clear, though, because I'm an Essex church obsessive, I would like these to be larger and to show much more detail. For me there's no substitute for visiting the churches themselves, even the best photographs are always just a pale imitation. I have a largish collection of old photographs of Essex and keep a detailed photographic record of the many Essex churches and graveyards I visit, yet I'm even never satisfied with the quality of my own pictures, let alone those on websites - with the exception of one outstanding Essex website which has sadly closed down. > I think I have covered most of the Maldon and Heybridge ones, but I was > not aware of a Heybridge Baptist Chapel. Where is that one? There were two chapels at Heybridge Basin, plus I think there's still a chapel at Heybridge. The one I photographed yesterday is St George's, Heybridge Basin, odd little chapel in a converted nissan hut, I like it. > > There is also an extra + on the OS map near the junction of the High > Street and Wantz road that I have not yet identified. Any ideas? That would be the Maldon Methodist church - there are also a Sally Army and an Elim church on Wantz Road. Colleen
