    3. Hi Ian, I was born in London, England and stem from the Wivenhoe Essex branch, the surname BRIMER is only a guess as the writing on the marriage certificate is hard to read. I know of two PITTUCK branches, mine is the Wivenhoe Essex line, the other is a Hadleigh Suffolk line, both branches go back to mid 1760's but we can not join them together. There are a lot more PITTOCKs in the Suffolk branch then the Essex branch but there are a few of my family in Ipswich Suffolk too. I wouldn't be surprised if my PITTUCK line didn't started as PITTICK or PITTOCK, I just don't know where to start searching next. None of the PITTOCK's in Australia are connected to my branch, the little bit of research I have done on them shows they are from the Suffolk branch. If you come across a John PITTICK / PITTUCK / PITTOCK @ 1803 that was caught smuggling and had his boat the 'Good Intent' condemned, that's mine, lol. I have researched this area too but nothing that gives a place of birth for him. If you come up with anything you may think might help, I'll look forward to hearing from you and look forward to see the PITTOCK database when it goes on line, it may help to connect some dots, great stuff.
