The problem is finding where they are in the Windows system as Mickeysoft keeps hiding them to stop users deleting the rubbish. You could do with CCleaner (a free program) to get rid of it all. An old link, bookmark, will get corrupted and give a false impression. If they were doing some maintenance on the site when you first tried, that could cause the your computer to keep trying on that link.
