In answer to the Clavering query, the village most connected to Clavering is Langley historically, but today it shares a new vicar with Arkesden and Wicken Bonhunt. It is also near to Farnham, Berden, Manuden, Rickling, Newport. As it is the last village on the border into Hertfordshire, the next villages that way would be Brent Pelham, Meesden, Anstey in Herts.
