    3. If you check the Holy Trinity Church web site you will find the registers of Takeley and Little Canfield have been transcribed and put on the site. The following is the link. http://holytrinitytakeley.moonfruit.com/ I remember a Miss Barltrop used to run the post office from her cottage in the village and I seem to remember that somewhere (maybe the children's playground behind the village hall) there was a seat dedicated to a Barltrop. I bought a house in Takeley in 1968, and apart from a two and a half year period in Zambia, lived in the village until 2007. Hope this is of help in your search. 3. Many thanks Pauline for your prompt response to me posting. It is appreciated.   Also thanks for the link.   It was also interesting to read what you had to say in relation to BARLTROP.   My research goes back to the early 1800s with BARLTROP but will have to take a backseat for the next three weeks.   Thanks again   Regards Wal From: Pauline Denmark <[email protected]> To: 'Wal Towells' <[email protected]>; [email protected] Sent: Thursday, 22 September 2011 11:06 PM Subject: RE: [Ess] Takeley Parish If you check the Holy Trinity Church web site you will find the registers of Takeley and Little Canfield have been transcribed and put on the site.
