    2. Mike Bosworth
    3. Stephanie, I would be interested to learn of your COBB ancestry but f you could give a date of birth for your Joseph COBB ancestor it would help - or some other details. I have no Joseph COBB on my tree but one of my ancestors is John COBB born and baptised in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk in September 1754. He married an Ann someone. His father was also a John COBB possibly born in Suffolk abt. 1730 who possibly married an Elizabeth Clark in 1751. I have this COBB family down through several generations to Betsy COBB born in Hinton, Suffolk, in 1843 and who died in Edmonton in the London area. She was my paternal gr.grandmother. 3. Hello, all: I'm a Yankee (actually more like a Valley girl as I'm from California :-) who has spent the past several years trying to discover the English origins of my immigrant ancestor, Joseph COBB. The last record I find of him is in London, but I believe he was from the East of England: Essex, Suffolk, or Norfolk. The project has morphed somewhat into a name study, so I have registered the name with the Guild of One Name Studies: http://www.one-name.org/profiles/cobb.html It has been really fascinating to learn more about British history and geography! Best regards, Stephanie

    3. Thanks you to everyone who got in touch, I will keep searching and with all your contributions I hope to solve my long standing brick wall. The favorite name was BRINER or BRIMER, these are the names I had been working on so I am confident now I am on the right path. Thanks all for casting your eyes over the record for me, a second opinion is always helpful. I will keep on looking and searching different avenues to see if something comes up so I'm sure I will be back with another puzzle for you to solve. Happy hunting all and thanks again everyone.
