I was told that Possibly William Rutherford also took part in the Battle of Saintfield 9th June 1798. There are details of the commanding officer that was killed from the York Fencibles in a plaque inside the Comber Church of Ireland.. Im over here in England at present so can tell you more later on when Im back home. But I was looking on the net and clicked all sorts of Buttons and got alot of information regarding the York Fencebles and the lodge they formd names etc.. plus the battle.. Do you have any other names in your records re names of who all took part in the battle?
