Hi I have a relative (my gtgtgrandfather) who family say originated in Channel Islands(or his wife did) and was first seen in Hipperholme Cum Brighouse in 1881 with 2nd wife. My question is How / where can I look for Marriages in Channel Islands . His daughter is married and living in Saddleworth in 1881 My problem is I have never known her mothers name and cant get her birth cert as her place of birth varies on census 1881(nopt found before that) onwards and only ever given as a county.
