Dear all, I am new to this list as I have just discovered that a branch of my family is from Yorkshire (Halifax area). On the 1861 census I see the widow Elizabeth JACKMAN as Inn Keeper of the White House Inn, Bramley Lane, Hipperholme. Despite extensive googling I cannot find any more information on this Inn. In case anybody out there has any more information or hints where I could find it (for some areas there are lists of historic pubs), I would be happy to hear from you. Thanks and regards, Andrea
