Find out how to research your family history properly before you start, as you are a complete beginner. You may find my Newbies' Guide (URL below) helpful. Basically, you start with yourself and work backwards a generation at a time, using birth and marriage certificates until you get back before 1901, when the census returns become available. You must document each link along the way and not proceed further until you are sure you have it right. As I said, go and get yourself a decent book on genealogy - there are lots of them out there - and read it thoroughly. Just posing a vague query here is NOT the way to go about it. -- Roy Stockdill Guild of One-Name Studies: www.one-name.org Newbies' Guide to Genealogy & Family History: www.genuki.org.uk/gs/Newbie.html "There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about."
