Meegan, He was in fact "Perpetual Curate of St John's and MA " in the 1851 census. I can't find him or the family in 1861 so I thought he might have gone back to Ireland. Clergy in the 19th century usually went to either Oxford, Cambridge or Trinity Dublin so I checked in the alumni lists and lo and behold information on him! Cambridge University Alumni, 1261-1900 about Edward [Gore]. Kelly Name: Edward [Gore]. Kelly College: ST CATHARINE'S Entered: Michs. 1830 More Information: Adm. pens. at ST CATHARINE'S, Oct. 10, 1830. Of King Street, Kilkenny, Ireland. Matric. Michs. 1830; B.A. 1835; M.A. 1839. Adm. ad eundem at Oxford, 1855. Ord. deacon (Lincoln) 1835; priest, 1836. P.C. of St John's, Sheffield, 1838-55. P.C. of Otterford, Somerset, 1855-8. Died, V. of St Peter's, Drogheda, Oct. 21, 1862. (Clergy List.) This doesn't help with your Frederick Augustus - but suggests you might have to look in Ireland for his departure.
