I'm still trying to prove/disprove if my Charles Pearce Sylvester SMITH b 29Jul1830 Kingston was the Charles Pears SMITH born at Kingston-on-Hull abt1831. Everything fits beautifully except this family got highjacked by LDS & taken to America. My Charlie was a master mariner, he married in Sydney & had 6 sons there one of them being my gpa. I have lots of shipping records from around Aus between 1859 & 1882 as master but I'm still looking for info of his earlier years. Cheers. Anne from lovely Cairns, Aus.
