David, Arthur and Leonard had the same mother: Mary Ann Dobbins. Mary Ann married Fred Priestley after the death of her first husband. She brought Arthur and Leonard to Canada. She gave birth to David Priestley in 1925 in Hamilton, Ontario. She passed away three or four years later. Her two sons from her first marriage returned to England.
