Armley is Leeds (well it is now, back then it was a village near Leeds). Thinking on paper here:- 1) possibility she was born on a house or farm called Linton - in which case there's fat chance of finding out where that was; 2) possibility that armley baptism could be her but you can't prove it (and my gut feeling is that it's not the right one); 3) question do the names of the witnesses on the MC to Spence give any clues? 4) what I'd do next find out what the full entry on the parish register says for martha's first marriage to michael mortimer. 5) have you looked on the IGI and done a sibling search?
