Hi Marilyn I too was born in Acomb, but did not have much knowledge of the Nunnery Lane area, apart from Swann Street, where my grandmother had a flat, used to go and see her on a lunchtime when I was at the Tech College in Clifford Street/Castlegate. Lynda - York
