When their mother died in 1898 William, Sarah Emma and their siblings, Harry b 1884, Thomas b 1888 , Harrison b 1891 & Herbert b 1892 are all lodging at 36 Thornton Place, Halifax. The head is recorded as Hannah Stirk aged 50 widow. The census record is not very clear and I think Hannah's surname is incorrect. Their father is recorded as living alone off his own means?
