From: "maquis@maquis.karoo.co.uk" > Can some kind person find out if CHARLES LITTLEWOOD-son of Jonas & > Harriot, born Leeds 1840 was the same one who died in Leeds in 1841? > Thank you> Is there some reason why you cannot discover this for yourself via the obvious route, i.e by purchasing the death certificate of the Charles Littlewood whose death was registered at Leeds in the Sep qtr of 1841, Vol 23 Page 259 (FreeBMD)? Though the age at death is not given in the GRO indexes, it should be given on the certificate, as should quite likely be the name of at least one parent if it was the right one. It is what anyone else would have to do. How do you imagine anyone can do it differently? -- Roy Stockdill Guild of One-Name Studies: www.one-name.org Newbies' Guide to Genealogy & Family History: www.genuki.org.uk/gs/Newbie.html "There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about."
