Hi, This is my 1st posting to the List: I'd love some help from sks, please. A family member says that our George SHEPHARD was born abt 1829 in Yorkshire. He then married a Charlotte SHEPHARD , 17 Apr, 1854, Derbyshire. (Both died in Rockley N.S.W. AUS.) I cannot find a birth for this George in Yorkshire or his marriage on Derbyshire. (Nor can I find Charlotte.) (Have tried Free bmd and the 1841and 1851 Census.) Does anyone have connections with this name? On George's DC, his parents are named as James and Sarah. However, I can't even find a likely marriage for them on the IGI. Would greatly appreciate any assistance/advice. Best wishes, Carolyn. AUS.
