Africa and probably that was from Hull - the most likely Port - the date of migration is obscure though - after 1854 and before 1865, although I haven't managed to get the details. They left S. Africa to come to N.Z. in 1865 and their last two children were born in Soulcoates - got that from Ancestry, if I remember correctly. They could well have misspelt the name.
