    1. [YORKSHIRE] Sounds like Ravenswood, in Yorkshire?
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: krchoy Surnames: Roberts Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.england.yks.general/15394/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I have two Queensland Source documents with place of birth for William Roberts. The earlier entry states "Ravenswood, Yorkshire, England" while the second states "Richmond, Yorkshire, England". I've tried squinting hard and I still can't make the first Yorkshire look like Berkshire. So, is there somewhere near Richmond that might sound like Ravenswood. Do the folks from there have a strong accent perhaps? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
