Hi Listers I am helping my daughter in law with her Stairmand reseach and wondred if anyone is researching the same line. Her father was David Davidson Stairmand b 1934 Ferryhill, he was the son of Ernest William b 1912 not sure where at the momement but married Emma Davidson in 1933. We beieve his father was another Ernest William b abt 1889 ? Darlington married to Martha A Bowen. This couple had 3 other children Martha b 1913, Norman 1914 and George 1916 all born Darlington. However the strange thing is the marriage between Ernest William and Martha Bowen took place in 1916, not sure why this was? Any advise or help appreciated by myself and Tracy (daughter in law) Kind regards, Kath
