His shipping manifest on going to Rhode Island arriving 7 April 1920 declares his father as Mr H Sunderland and his address as 8 Churn Milk Lane, Halifax. He is going to Providence RI to stay with a friend, Mr P R Johnstone at 27 Benefit St, Providence. He is married and is a spinning overlooker. He is 5ft 7ins tall, has light hair and brown eyes. He intends to stay permanently. If this is your man, I would love to hear from you: my interest has been mainly in his brother George who also emigrated to Rhode Island, so I do not have Harold's wife nor children.
