I have just subscribed to this list and I have a problem if anyone can hepl please. I have a marriage cerificate which has the bride born in Yorkshire but no actual place unfortunately . The lady's name was Nellie Barrett and her parents were Richard Barrett and Rosa Jane Simmons Ford they were married in Ireland. I am just guessing they came to Yorkshire where Nellie or Ellen was born her age was 21 yrs old when she married so her birth year could of been 1864. At present I cannot find a death date in NZ to find out more . So I hope someone can hepl me please Thank you Joyce Baber

Hi Joyce, You didn't say what the married name was. You can search the NZ Historic BDM online and order a death entry or work out the day of death by cutting back the period searched. The death entry might give you a place of birth and number of years living in New Zealand.What you need is the 1871 English Census.
