I am researching for my husband, a newly found line, his Gt.Gt. Grandfather William Pattison FRANK born 1842 in London and was previously thought to be of the surname Barsby now found to have been born illigimate. His parents were MARTHA BURGESS born Whitechapel, London c1824 and PATTISON FRANK a Mariner from Whitby born c1815. Pattison went on to marry ELIZABETH MILLS in 1846. Martha Burgess married another Mariner in London, name of John Henry Barsby and her child William was raised under that name. Would anyone on the list be researching any of the above? Any exchange of background information on the Frank family would be greatly appreciated. I have obviously followed up on census and what info was available to me through IGI and ancestry.com but would like to expand on marriages for William's half sisters etc. Namely MARY ELIZABETH FRANK born 1851 Whitby and SARAH JANE FRANK born 1853 Whitby. Also any marriage or death for a SARAH FRANK born 1817 Whitby. I do also have a Fiche reader so any help or advise on parish records available for purchase would be greatly appreciated.
