Altofts is a geographical grey area - fixed between Wakefield & Pontefract. All records show that he was born in Altofts in 1877 ....BUT I can not find his registration. I have been to the registar is Pontefract and they have contacted Wakefield and we have tried to match up his parents William & Emma to his birth in the area for 1877 - I have also tried the 1st Quarter of 1878 and its once again the worng Ernest.....
