    1. [YORKSHIRE] Lost at Sea ??
    2. Mel Smith
    3. I've stumbled upon a tree on Ancestry that lists my aunt and uncle plus ancestors on her branch which I did not have One ancestor on the tree - Hezekiah William SOWTER is listed as died in 1915 - lost at sea. No sources for this are given. I have searched both FreeBMD and the Yorkshire BMD for a death entry without results. His residence in 1901 was Sculcoates, Hull, Yorkshire and in the 1911 census he was visiting another family in Sculcoates and his occupation is given as Marine Engineer. I have found his marriage in 1913, the birth of a son in late 1913 and the remarriage of his widow in 1916 So the death entry would appear to be reasonably accurate and occupation and fact of being lost at sea could jibe. FindMyPast deaths at sea only go to 1890 Are there some other sources I can check (preferably online) that would confirm this death Thanks Mel Smith Whitby, Ontario, Canada
