Unfortunatley though the 19th Cenury newspapers are available and searchable online through most local libraries this will not cover the time you are interested in. It may be a previous generation but there was a Richard CATTLE of Layerthorpe mentioned in the York Herald in the 1860s and 70s. Stealing bits of Holly Tree, Damage to a door, Ill treating his wife, being robbed of 37s by a prostitute in a brothel.
