I've also found a baptisms which could be the older Thomas Burkill: Thos Burkill bap 16 Dec 1767 @ St Michael, New Malton, Yorks, father was Francis Burkill unfortunately google doesn't understand New Malton, so I'm not sure how far that was from Hemingbrough.
