Post 1837 are you aware of the UK BMD project? http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/index.php?form_action=local They have a dedicated Yorkshire search engine, although they also cover other counties. Another couple you can try are FreeREG (pre-1837 - to see if they've transcribed your parish type it into the 'place' box) http://www.freereg.org.uk/cgi/Search.pl Post 1837 you can also try the FreeBMD project http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl Good luck!
