I wonder if you can help me with a brick wall!! In 1841 and 1851 census for Sheffield I have William Fisher born 1776 to 1781 in Abingdon Berkshire. His wife is Rebecca born about 1780 in Sunderland. I do not have her surname and cannot find a marriage for them at all. I think they had 3 children, Elizabeth Fisher b. abt 1816 in Tickhill, John Bower Fisher b. about 1818 in Sheffield and Joseph Fisher b. 1825 Sheffield. Joseph appears in the Sheffieldindexers website but not the other 2. I found it odd that John was called John Bower and did look to see if that was Rebecca's last name but drew a blank.
