In 1807 and 1823 the directories show Stephen Staveley and John Winter as Farmers; William Crosier was the landlord of the village inn, the White Horse until 1825, when he sold it to the village blacksmith. If you want notes of births marriages and deaths someone will have to look it up in the Hayton parish registers, which have been microfilmed but are not (so far as I know) printed or online.
