He has been travelling the railways of Britain with a copy of the famous 19th century Bradshaw's Guide. Last night showed him in York, taking the spa waters in Harrogate and in Saltaire, the model village created near Bradford for his workers by Sir Titus Salt. Tonight Portillo, according to the blurb, is in Batley learning about a 19th century recycling business and also looking at how the growth of the railways boosted Yorkshire's rhubarb industry Hi Roy, We both love the programme and love the way Michael Portillo presents it. We actually feel it should have had a better slot because it is so enjoyable. What a lovely country we live in. So green and full of trees whilst portraying industrial areas as seen from the train. Saltaire was well worth a visit when we went three years ago.
