    2. >From The Derby Mercury ( Derby, England ), Wednesday, December 5, 1821; Issue 4665. A Fact To Be Regretted. John VALENTINE , game-keeper to Mr. FLETCHER of Clifton, near Manchester, had to open the body of a dead cow on Tuesday the 20th. ult. when he found in it, or rather took from it, five calves, quite in full proportion, within two days of their time. The unfortunate animal was on her way to Salford fair, but being over-driven, was obliged to be put up at the Robin Hood in Clifton, where she died; and was afterwards brought down to Mr. FLETCHER's kennel for his dogs. - It is now known that this valuable cow once before had three, and twice two calves. She was on her way out of Yorkshire.
