    3. Hi Terri, On the Ancestry page there are 3 sets of BMD's - there are partial indexes up to about 1920 - roughly the same as you find on Free BMD. Then there are the full indexes up to 1983. These you can't search exactly by name. I just gives you the page on which the name might appear and you have to look, just like you do if you go to a Family HIstory Centre. Then there are the full indexes for 1984-2005 which are again searchable by exact name. If you click on the right section, you should be able to search the ones after 1925. 3. Hi Gillian Firstly.........did you check the freebmd site for a marriage? I did and found this one: Frederick FROST married Mary Jane CAWKWELL - Mar Qtr 1894 - Hull - 9d - 364. Secondly......Frederick is aged 27 on the 1901 census, which makes his approx year of birth 1874, not 1877, so this may be why you can not find him in earlier census records. If you get the above marriage certificate, it should say what his father's name is. Thirdly.......There is no Gertrude FROST listed on the 1901 Census with Frederick, Mary J, Edgar, Francis and Allan.......but there is a Charles CAWKWELL, Visitor, which tells me that he is actually related to Mary J, and the above marriage is correct. If you still can not find them on earlier census records, repost and I will try and help you find them. Cheers Wendy gillian beavis wrote: >Hi > >I am looking for Frederick Frost born about 1877 Skirlaugh, Yorkshire I presume he married a Mary J born about 1865 Fitling, Yorkshire. >Children >Edgar Frost born about 1895 Sculcoates >Gertrude Frost born about 1896 Hull >Francis William Frost born about 1897 Sculcoates >Allan Frost born about 1900 Hull. > >The problem I am having I have them on the 1901 census, but nothing else.
