    1. [YORKSHIRE] HOOTON PAGNALL PARISH REGISTERS
    2. joyce
    3. Hi List, Would it be possible for someone to check HOOTON PAGNALL parish records for me,to see if there are any extra details for the below marriage. Joseph BURTON & Elizabeth OGLEY were married 19th October 1819 at hooton Pagnall, his name on IGI is down as Joseph BARTON,thats why I couldnt find any mention of them. After 3 years of looking I have traced my gr.gr.grandmothers surname. She was married under the name of Ann BURTON,but her actual name was Ann OGLEY,born before her parents were married. Her parents were Elizabeth OGLEY & Joseph BURTON,who moved to Dacre Bank after her birth. Joseph was schoolmaster at Dacre until his death in 1844. There is my problem;there is no 1841 census for Dacre bank & surrounding areas,so I do not know Josephs age or place of birth. There was a Joseph BURTON born 13 dec 1801;chris.7 Feb 1802 at Doncaster, son of John BURTON & Mary BENNETT,but until I get more proof I cant link him to my Joseph Burton. I would be grateful if anyone could help with this. Thanks for reading this, Joyce

    1. [YORKSHIRE] Shipping lists?
    2. David Keal
    3. Can anyone tell me if Shipping Lists are available for passengers migrating from England between 1885 and 1890 and where I may find them? I have seen the lists on FindMyPast but they only commence at 1890. I'm trying to track John WRIGHT, b.1848, Tickhill He married Henrietta PINDER in 1868. >From family stories it is believed that John left England after tying up loose ends of the family business after it burnt down. All of his siblings migrated to Australia between 1884 and 1887. Some say John went to USA, but more recently I heard from relatives that it s believed John went to South Africa. Are there any records which might confirm either of these stories so I can begin to try and trace descendants of John and Henrietta? In 1881 Census, John and Henrietta are with their children, Henrietta, 1871 Charles H, 1872 George E, 1874 John F, 1878 Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards David Sunshine Coast Australia

Though the age at death is not given in the GRO indexes, it should be given on the certificate, as should quite likely be the name of at least one parent if it was the right one.
