I've since found out my BIRCH line is from Shrewsbury, Shropshire. I was researching in Africa 9 years ago so my info was limited and I got an e-mail saying they had the same line as me. It turned out it was wrong. I'd forgotten about this user name, my new one is daviessb The change of e-mail must have worked then :O) Best Regards Susan Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I was looking round the churchyard of St Matthews in Holbeck and found a grave for George and Ann Roberts. As I have a couple called George and Ann Roberts in my tree I took a picture. Now I've looked at it more cloesly I don't think it's a match with my tree. However it does say that a Sarah Birch - daughter of Ann and George is buried there too. and her husband. If this is any use to you drop me a message and I'll send you a copy! If not, I'll jot down the info and mail it. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. It all started when I asked my mother for the name of the pilot that she says she was destined to marry, but who died during the Battle of Britain. You can guess it's your uncle Peter Freer. My mother, then called Patricia French, was the daughter of the Cottingham vicar, Edward French. She knew your mother Joan, who she told me was a nurse like her, except that your mother was a bit older. Apparently your uncle Arthur visited my mother in her home in Newcsstle on Tyne, where she still lives. Her memory of those years is still very good, although her eyesight isn't. She destroyed all her photos of Peter when she married, so it would be great if I could get some copies. I've already downloaded the one on Xplanes. I think she has regretted Peter all her life. My father, who is now in a home with dementia, could never really live up to his standards! I've put my details on the Xplanes messages. Just one question. My mother says he was shot down in a Spitefire, but looking up 29 Squadron, it only talks about those cumbersome Blenheims. Lookibg forward to hearing from you, Martin Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Hello all, Is anyone going to the Midlands Family History Fair tomorrow? It's at Worcester Racecourse. I am going there with my son, to help on his stall abbepics.com, but if anyone wants to talk about Yorkshire I will be pleased to see you there! I have looked at the list of exhibitors http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ukhfhs/wmag.html Yorkshire doesn't appear to be otherwise represented. Regards Janice Wood

Very late replying as see date is 2005. I found a Benjamin Hustler this week on Australian passenger lists for Assisted and Unassisted immigrants to Australia. There was an Ann Hustler also little earlier than Benjamin(younger in age also). I also saw a Benjamin Hustler on the Wills and Probates Victoria and Ann is shown on that as person handling Will. Could be father and Daughter. You can obtain the contents of the Will also by applying for it on line. My grandmother was Frances Beatrice Whitticome and also shown as maiden name Hustler c1860/61. I cannot find anything at all for her in B/M but I see on Hustler lists Frances and a Beatrice. Could be connected to your Benjamin. Suggest you trace Australian connection .Plus few convicts also Hustler, but doubt it would be Benjamin. Hope this helps and hope you can help me in my search for missing Grandmother also. Supposed to have been born in Australia. Complete mystery to us trying to find her. Ellen Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I am seeking information on Mary Ann THWAITE who was residing in Dent when she was admitted to Ackworth School in 1831. I assume she was born about 1821-1826. I have no information about her family of origin, and am hoping someone may be able to assist with this. Thank you. Dear Roy Thank you for your suggestions? regarding the above. By way of an explanation in studying the Algorithms of search engines over the years we have included the following first or? front page of a Google Search Engines findings for my Grandfather John Brown Walker here in California USA Early this morning we simply entered the name John Brown Walker of Armley into Google. Search Having been engaged in my family genealogy for over 50 years we have found that this rather unconventional? method of research has produced for our family more world wide family connections than a life time of personal or paid? research could ever achieve . We can never thank you enough for providing the world wide? instruments that make these things possible and for the wonderful opportunity that you present to the family of man to become re-united and to find one another again. We have also found that many people who have specialized access to local information send us marvelous snippets? which complete our family history. My wife and I are both and have been for years Genealogical Consultants in a LDS Library and freely donate our time in assisting others and feel in some way this reciprocates the work that others do to serve us.
