James Maybrick, the alleged Jack the Ripper (I say "alleged" because I know a lot about the Ripper crimes and I am far from convinced) was from Liverpool and the supposed illegitimate son of Florence Maybrick, William Graham, was said to have been born in Hartlepool. I've got the book and there's no mention of any Bradford connection at all. The message appears to be primarily aimed at getting people to join a mailing list to debate whether James Maybrick was the Ripper or not.
