    3. Dear listers, I have a strong feeling that my great-grandmother was buried in the Undercliffe cemetery in 1901. Name is Sally Greenwood, and she lived very close by. I am hoping to visit WYorkshire in a few weeks, and am trying to get as much detail as I can before I leave. Can SKS tell me how I can find out for sure? Regards, Knola Jeffery, New Zealand.

    3. Hi Knola If you can get to an LDS library, you can order Films 1648144 & 1648145 which are of an 'Alphabetical computerized grave index for Bradfords Undercliffe cemetery, 1854 - 1958'. The first is for consecrated graves & the second the very end of the consecrated graves & all the unconsecrated. I used the first a few weeks ago. It's easy to use (tho' it seems weird to film a computer printout). It's divided into 6 or 7 blocks of years & is alphabetic by surname within those blocks. Data consists of year of burial, a reference number, surname, fornames, 'condition' (infant, spinster, married woman, clogger's apprecentice - you'll do better with men here!) & area (BFD West, Bowling etc). No age unfortunately. Thhe LDS library reference says the original is in Bradford Central Library. Hope this is useful Rosemary Ackroyd ----- Original Message ----- From: "keith jeffery" <keithandknola@xtra.co.nz> To: <ENG-YKS-BRADFORD-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, May 16, 2003 1:43 PM Subject: [ BRAD] Cemetery know-how. > Dear listers, > > I have a strong feeling that my great-grandmother was buried in the > Undercliffe cemetery in 1901.
