I have first hand knowledge of this system of putting young children in a women's ward.In 1934 I was in this infirmary, aged 5,in a women's ward.I was in to have a plaster cast put on my leg,and as plaster of Paris was slow drying in those days I was in overnight. A memory I do NOT cherish !!!!! I hope someone on this list is claimed as a relative by a reader. Cheers----Derek.
