Hello, I am trying to locate my 2 g-grandfather and his sister. They were both born in England and had other siblings as well. George Middleton was born June 7, 1846 and his sister Mary Ellen was born 12 Apr. 1857. George and his sister and possibly 2 brothers left England and came to Canada in 1866 landing in St. John, New Brunswick, unfortunately there are no passenger records. The brothers were thought to have returned to England fairly soon. I have located all of George and his sister's marriage and death records as well as their obituaries, children's birth records, but all it says is "England" for place of birth. No parents names. I created a database with from the GRO records with every George Middleton from 1845-47, and every Mary Ellen, and Ellen from 1856-1858. I then highlighted similar counties (? not sure that's what you call them) in similar colors. I only got one match, both in West Riding. George Middleton June quarter 1846 Ecclesal Bierlow Mary Ellen Middleton June quarter 1857 Bradford Since Mary Ellen was born in Bradford I was hoping the family had moved from Ecclesal Bierlow to Bradford and were still there in the 1860 census. Someone was kind enough to look up all the Middleton's in Bradford in the 1860 census and gave me the Piece number, Enumeration District, and folio for each one. (I have the list if anyone could use it to help me, just let me know). I am not sure how best to put this information to work for me. I would like to put George and Mary Ellen in the same house in the 1860 census. I do not have a local LDS site that I can travel to. Could someone please tell me how best to proceed. This is my last brick wall in England and I would love to see my way through it. Any assistance would be gratefully received. Kind Regards ~ Sherrie ~ USA, Maine
