Subject: re; Clara ; pronounciation Hello everyone who answered my query. Many thanks indeed 10 replies at least. I should have guessed there is no clear answer. Seems to be just in favour of sounding like Claira, as some thought Clara (as in Star) a little more 'classy' Continental or American. Oh dear I really don't know and my book of names doesn't help.!
