Hi All, here are a couple more M.I.s from way back when I spent a very wet and happy afternoon collecting them! Sarah Bates of Thornton died 20 November 1872 aged 39. Ruth Bates, mother of the above, died 6 December 1874 aged 71. Daniel son of Ruth died 11 December 1874 aged 45. Mary Webster (?) Bates wife of Daniel died 2 May 1911 aged 81. Rebekah, daughter of Jonathon and Susannah Cockroft of Allerton died 22 January 1812 aged 14 weeks. Jonathon died 28 May 1849 aged 59. Susannah died 17 November 1853 aged 62. Samuel Akeroyd died 2 November 1837 aged 73 years. Betty wife of Samuel died 1826 aged 50 years. and then I have a scribble which says 'kids also' of Joseph and Hannah Aykroyd of Cullingworth Gate. Joseph Aykroyd died 13 August 1850 aged 72. That's all I have for Thornton. Windhill tomorrow maybe. Hope it is of some use somewhere, cheers, Mal.
