    3. Jill I am interested in your JOWETT connection, as I have, I think, a JOWETT in my family. At this stage I have been unable to find the connection. I have had a look at the 1881 census and found two Emily JOWETT's born in Bradford in 1863, which isn't the year you said. One has parents John and Mary and Emily is the second eldest of five children The other Emily has parents Aquilla and Jane and Emily is the second eldest of six children. On the 1881 census there are 12 Emily (or similiar spelling) JOWETT listed as being born between 1860 amd 1864. The two I mentioned are the only two born in Bradford Have you purchased the mariage certificate for Emily and William? That will at least give you her fathers first name, which will narrow the field down. If you come across a Hardy JOWETT, with parents Joshua and Elizabeth and siblings Amy, Edward, Nathan, George, Robert and John Wm. please let me know.
